Middletown Township today boasts many parks as a well-known best place to live.

Bicentennial Park

Like thousands of other parks called Bicentennial Park, this park commemorates the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence.  The hills in the Bicentennial Park area were also important during the Revolutionary War.  General Henry Clinton hid in the hills in June 1778 as he retreated to New York.
